We are excited to announce that Astra Radiology will be installing a new state-of-the-art GE Discovery MI Gen 2 digital PET-CT opening on 23 January 2023.
Designed to assist with the diagnosis of a variety of health issues, with a particular focus on Cancer / Oncology, Neurology and Urology as well as a range of other body areas, this premium digital PET–CT utilises the most advanced technology to offer exceptionally accurate images, sharpness and diagnosis. This brand new, highest quality, state of the art system delivers significant improvements in comfort, reduced scan times and is highly accurate at detecting the smallest of cancers and other disease states at an earlier stage.
We are also delighted to announce our existing high-quality PET-CT will be re-located to our sister facility at SRG Radiology at 175 Cavendish Drive, Manukau. This will be the first PET-CT in South Auckland, creating a truly comprehensive diagnostic imaging site; providing MRI, CT, Ultra Sound, X-ray, Interventional and now PET-CT as well. This demonstrates the massive commitment our business is making to you and your whanau and loved ones; as this will provide advanced services closer to home in an area of Auckland that has not traditionally experienced significant investment.
Our Cavendish Drive location is very close to public transport options and has plenty of free parking available on site, taking away the stress of a commute or paying for parking. Our anticipated opening time for the PET-CT in Manukau is June 2023.
